- Application Software By:
Jacobs' Application Experience - Home Page
Home page - No visible "Call to Apply" (CTA) in the primary navigation. Please don't bury the lead.
Jacobs' Application Experience - Procedures 1a
The Undergrad application instructions are buried on this page.
*Having an application procedures page is a little confusing because if the application experience is planned out well it should not require a separate set of instructions.
Jacobs's Application Experience - Procedures 1b
Click on "Undergrad Application Instructions".
Jacobs' Application Experience - Undergrad Procedures
Application for Admission is buried at the end of the first paragraph.
Jacobs' Application Experience - Account Creation
After clicking on the Application users are sent to a different site look and feel and also required to create an account to access the online application.
Jacobs' Application Experience - Profile
Users are now required to create their profile.
Jacobs' Application Experience - Continue to Application
Users are met with another button to proceed to the Application.
Jacobs' Application Experience - Identification
Users have to provide some additional identification information.
Jacobs' Application Experience - Continue to Login
Users can now proceed to the application.
Jacobs' Application Experience - Login
Users actually cannot access the application and they must log into an additional site with an entire new layout.
This process could easily be cut down by 8 steps if we:
- Took visitors straight to the application from the home or admissions pages.
- Considered owning the application process and eliminating the user account sign up requirement.
Or at the very least we could improve the experience by making the CTA's clearer, stronger and above the scroll on each page.
